Georgetown is building on its 235-year history in Washington, DC, and the longtime presence of the Law Center in downtown DC with a new campus that brings multiple Georgetown schools together in a dynamic downtown community. Located just blocks from the U.S. Capitol, the U.S. Supreme Court, federal agencies, think tanks and leading local, national and global organizations, our Capitol Campus will usher in greater opportunities for interdisciplinary and civic engagement for the entire Georgetown community through innovative academic programs, spaces for gatherings and events, and new collaborations and partnerships.

The Spirit of Georgetown Anchor

The Spirit of Georgetown

As the nation’s oldest Catholic and Jesuit university, Georgetown was founded “on the principle that serious and sustained discourse among people of different faiths, cultures, and beliefs promotes intellectual, ethical, and spiritual understanding.” Our mission comes alive on the Capitol Campus in new spaces, programs and experiences and in our commitment to the city we call home. And now, as our world’s issues become more pressing and complex, we are growing to magnify our impact in DC and on the global stage.
