Capitol Applied Learning Labs
Pursue your personal and professional goals in the nation’s capital. The CALL, Georgetown’s undergraduate residential semester program at the Capitol Campus, is where theory meets practice. Engage in the classroom and then go beyond through internships, workshops and networking experiences to develop skills and hone your professional goals as you find your CALLing. Our program is open to undergraduates from all schools and majors.
Our Academic Offerings
The CALL offers a range of core, major/minor and elective coursework. Our courses integrate dynamic experiential learning elements like site visits, guest speakers and simulations — providing real-world experience that bridges theory with practice.
Experiential By Design
The core of the CALL program is its commitment to immersive learning. We believe that when students engage with real-world challenges, they sharpen their problem-solving skills, build meaningful professional and personal networks and develop expertise that becomes integral to who they are — beyond what they had previously only imagined.
A Testimonial

As director, I’m privileged to witness the transformative power of the Ignatian Paradigm — context, experience, reflection, action, and evaluation — during one’s CALL semester. The program embraces this holistic approach, empowering students to gain confidence, clarity and the skills for lasting success.
Engagement with the City
Our location makes it easier than ever before for students to immerse themselves in DC. From attending cultural events at local theaters or professional sports games, to networking and industry events, we provide the resources for students to broaden their experiences, deepen their interests and become more well-rounded individuals.
Student Life at The CALL
At The CALL, students plan monthly events to bring the community together. Students also have a cultural fund to use to explore, whether through art, music, sports, food or quintessential DC experiences.

With a close-knit community, The CALL fosters meaningful connections among students from diverse backgrounds. Our students live among undergraduate and graduate students from other programs, leading to new friendships and unique shared experiences.

Every week throughout the semester we host two community lunches for our students, faculty, and staff, to boost collaboration, strengthen relationships and promote a sense of belonging, enriching the overall student experience.
