DPS Escorts
Public Safety offers 24-hour escort service for all Capitol Campus personnel to offices that are closed after normal business hours and/or to students that are engaged in late night meetings or study sessions. Officers will provide an escort upon request to Capitol Campus locations only.
DPS can be reached at 202-662-9325
Laptop Registration
DPS provides a laptop registration program designed to deter computer thefts and facilitate recovery should a computer be lost or stolen. This program “S.T.O.P” (Security Tracking of Office Property), is to assist DPS in locating your laptop incase of a theft or the loss of your device. Computers are permanently marked with a patented security plate bearing a unique bar code ID number, which is entered into a national asset tracking software program. Underneath the plate, an indelible tattoo is etched into the computer case, which if removed, displays a stolen property message.
Bicycle Registration
Bicycles are registered throughout the academic year. A locked bicycle cage, available to students, is located on the P-1 level of the Gewirz Student Center. The McDonough hall also has a bicycle area available for the use to both Gewirz resident Students and non-resident students.
Daily Crime Log
The daily crime log will display the incidents of the current month and will be archived at the first of each month.
