Visitor Check In
All Capitol Campus visitors are required to use a self check-in kiosk to register their visits and wear a visitor badge at all times during their time on campus. See below for locations and instructions

Ways to check in
- Register in advance (recommended)
- Hosts (Georgetown community members) can pre-register visitors for easy sign in via this form. Your visitor(s) will receive a QR code for easy scan and sign in upon arrival.
- You will receive an email notification when your visitor(s) has arrived.

- Register upon arrival to campus
- Follow the instructions on the touchscreen and be sure to write your name exactly as it is listed on your ID. Please be ready to present your ID to the officer for verification. Steps to expect”
- On the Welcome page, select SIGN IN.
- On the Choice page, select one of the four choices that matches the purpose of your visit:
- Visitor with Appointment
- Walk-In Visitor
- Contractor
- Reprint Badge
- On the About You page, enter your email address, name, and company.
- On the Destinations page, type in your destination and estimated departure time and click NEXT.
- Retrieve your visitor badge from the printer and present it with a photo identification to the security officer at the desk before proceeding to your destination.

Law Library
Guests to the Edward Bennett Williams Law Library must go through a separate check-in process at the Law Library’s security desk. The procedure is in place to maintain the Law Library’s restricted access, ensuring that only authorized users can enter.
Events
Event and conference attendees, including members of the media, are not required to use a check-in kiosk. They should proceed to the designated event check-in table. Please contact the event host for check-in instructions.
